I've a modem and a router. Modem has: 1 RJ11 (phone) port and 4 RJ45 (Ethernet) ports Router has: 5 RJ45 (Ethernet) port of which 1 port is dedicated for WAN connection. my internet connection is from a phone line. It's a PPPoE connection. My PC is connected to the router's LAN port. The router's WAN port has one Ethernet port connected and the other end of the wires goes to one of the LAN ports in the modem. I've made the modem a bridge which I believe should allow the router to initiate the PPPoE internet connection. But it is not working. The router says 'Connecting' and just keeps saying that. So... is there anything I'm doing wrong here? I am sure I've bridged the modem. Can I connect the modem's LAN port to my PC's LAN port and initiate a PPPoE connection from my PC so that I can be sure that it is a problem with my router? Any help? anyone. the model: modem: Planet ADM4104 router: Cisco small business RV120W... Read More »
